It has been a few years since the last time I had visited and I’m glad to say that their food and service are still on point. Pricier than before but what isn’t now and days. We had steamed shrimp dumplings which are small in size and the order only had 5 pieces, 6-7 pieces would be better due to their size. Tried the beef egg drop soup with cilantro and it was really tasty. We ordered Chinese broccoli and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The peeking duck was amazing, moist and tender meat with the skin being crisped to perfection highly recommend. The house special lomein was slightly under seasoned with not enough meats or veggies for the portion of noodles.

First time visiting Cheng Du and I really enjoyed my time there! Their menu has a combination of Americanized Chinese and traditional Sichuan Chinese entrees which was great! Before going to the restaurant, I've been craving a nice Braised Beef noodle soup and they didn't disappoint! Such great flavors and great portion for the price ($13/bowl). The beef was perfectly braised and ripped apart tenderly 🤌🏼. The broth was delicious and on point 🤌🏼. Definitely satisfied my craving and exceeded my expectations! Waitstaff was great and attentive, filling up our tea without even asking. Service was quick and efficient. Highly recommend this authentic restaurant! They charge a 3% surcharge for credit cards to be sure to bring cash if you want to avoid the fee. Plenty of parking in the Plaza.

Honestly.. you can not go wrong with this place. We went there recently and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. We had port shank, seafood delight, and heavenly chicken and every single dish exceeded our expectations. The portions were generous and you really gotta try their chili oil! I highly recommend this place and this is one of the best Chinese restaurant in northern new jersey! We always visit whenever we visit Wayne and will definitely come back for more!!

Was on a hunt for authentic Chinese food, particularly the fried flounder, and Chengdu didn’t disappoint. The egg drop soup with minced beef (Westlake soup) was light and comforting. Enjoyed the pan-fried flounder with ginger and scallion soy sauce, Yang Chow fried rice, and Chinese broccoli. BF loved the spicy cumin lamb; it’s not my favorite, but he finished it. Service was prompt and friendly despite being busy on a Saturday night.

This place had always been on my list. Unfortunately, it was only open until 9 PM and we arrived around 8. By the time we got settled, we felt rushed while dining. They mentioned they had low foot traffic that day, so they were planning to close early, and after that, we couldn’t really enjoy the food. That said, the ambience was really nice. The restaurant serves cuisine from the Sichuan region of China, and if you’re planning to try their Sichuan dishes, just be prepared—they’re spicy and mouth‑numbing, but in a good way! We ordered two of their popular dishes: Spicy Cumin Lamb Triple Pepper Chicken Both were amazing and very different from typical Chinese dishes. Their Sichuan flavors are really good and that set them apart from regular Chinese restaurants. Aside from the “we’re closing soon” pressure, the food was amazing. I'll try their Lunch menu soon
